Beautiful crewel hand embroidered runners/wall hangings embroidered in silk from Kashmir. Crewel embroidery has been practiced in Kashmir for the longest time. Done on locally woven cloth either silk or wool is used for the embroidery. Common patterns are chinar leaves, tree of life, and florals. In recent times more abstract patterns and contemporary designs have also been featured.
